At Chloe’s™ Soft Serve Fruit Co.™, we love the number 3...

• THREE best friends; Chloe, Michael and Jason created a delicious frozen treat using 
• THREE ingredients (fruit, water, touch of organic cane sugar) 
• Swirling from THREE machines in our flagship store.

And so, our obsession with THREE began.

In the spirit of THREE, every now and then, we will share 3 photos that strike us as share-worthy.

Spring is in the air and we all feel 1) rejuvenated, 2) warmer, and 3) ready to start anew. We think Spring is the perfect time to launch our "All About 3" Series. Enjoy...

 

Eat Right, Your Way, Every Day

Many of us think about nutrition daily, hourly, or not at all.

At Chloe's SFFC, we are always thinking of ways to marry nutrition, fun and flavor.

Its National Nutrition Month and that got us thinking about the sentiment: 

"Eat Right, Your Way, Every Day"  

"Eat right" is one thing, but what makes this mantra interesting is- "your way."

You have to eat right for you. What is realistic and fun for you? 

Developing a plan for eating right and sticking to it is intimidating. 

Not to be negative, but what helps me, is thinking about the ways NOT to eat?

• Standing and eating- this approach is so much easier and it just happens before I realize I am doing it! 

• Eating off others plates- why does it always look better on someone else's plate?

• Waiting too long in between meals- total recipe for disaster

In creating this DO NOT do list (I love me a list) - I feel like I have a place to begin to make positive changes and move toward "eating right, my way, every day." I am pretty good about eating healthy but the how I eat needs some work -see above. 

To finish off nutrition month and in the months ahead, I am going to: 1) sit down while eating, ahh sounds lovely;

 2) keep my fork to myself, Jason and the kids will be relieved; and 3) focus on planning meals, reserving fasting for the appropriate occasions.

International Day of Awesomeness

Today, all across the world, people are acknowledging what it means to be AWESOME  in honor of the International Day of Awesomeness.
It's fun to kick back and ponder- what is totally awesome?
Watching my daughter buzz around on stage as windy bee in her first school play- crazy awesome; seeing my husband run his first marathon- really awesome; a swim in the ocean - awesome; a nap? Now THAT would be awesome.
At Chloe's™ Soft Serve Fruit Co.™ we aim for awesome  every day. Fruit is at the heart of our endeavor. It is our muse.
Fruit is an awesome part of a healthy diet and we love its endless variety of textures, sizes, shapes, and of course, powerful flavors. We also love the natural beauty in the kaleidoscope of colors and find inspiration from it. Here are just a few awesome examples of fruit.

CEO Michael Sloan Escapes from Alcatraz.

Chloe’s™ Soft Serve Fruit Co.™ CEO, Michael Sloan, has been a triathlete for some time now. He recently took part in the Escape From Alcatraz Triathlon in San Francisco. This year marked his 5^th time in a row competing in the race.  After a frigid 1.5 mile swim from Alcatraz, treacherous 18 mile bike ride, and 8 mile run through the hills of San Francisco, Michael raced to the airport for his flight back to New York City. 

How does Michael recover after all of the action? He goes straight for his favorite Chloe’s Soft Serve Fruit smoothie: the PBJC with skim milk and whey protein.

We've All Been There...Guilty.

Guilty pleasures, guilty habits, guilty moments, guilty thoughts....they can be oppressive.

I stuffed my 3 kids in the shopping cart at Whole Foods all the while the DO NOT PUT CHILDREN warning sign stared up at me. GUILTY!

Am I working too much, not enough? Too little time with the kids? GUILT!

So, we created a guilt free safe haven. My happy place where I can feed MY overwhelming sweet tooth and my kids ravishing 24/7 snack demands- guilt free. Tell us what you feel guilty about.
